About

Product at Figma, previously Messenger and Instagram. I'm particularly good at product thinking and "speaking" design. I attribute this to the good fortune of working with exceptional, world-class designers throughout my career.

I like rockskipping, well-balanced utensils, and wall-mounted shelving. Currently, I'm musing on seasonal produce and Lindsey R. Shere's "Chez Panisse Desserts".

Work Experience

2023 — Now
New York, NY

I lead the product team working on collaboration solutions for our largest and most complex customers. We work on a combination of strategic vision setting, tier differentiation, and deep partnership with teams across our business.

Previously, I steered the product teams working on file browser (figma.com) and search. We built better content creation, retrieval, and organization experiences, while looking after performance, quality & infrastructure, and ecosystem health of our broader product suite.

At Config 2023, we shipped a redesign of the file browser, introducing a new design language and IA to one of Figma's core product surfaces. We shipped Faceted Search, the ability to apply filters to your queries.

2020 — 2023
San Francisco, CA

PM on Messenger Calling. I led the Shared Experiences and Growth teams on Messenger Calling, stewarding 30+ contributors across engineering, data science, product design, user research, and marketing.

During my tenure, we shipped the Calls Tab, one of four primary surfaces on Messenger, adding 1M incremental callers. I also founded our experimental bets team, with attributions on several pending patents.

2021 — 2021
San Francisco, CA + New York, NY

I supported the Instagram Live team. During my tenure, we shipped Paid Subscriber Lives, In-Stream Moderation, and Practice Mode.

I also supported the Instagram Video Calling team. We shipped link-based video calling. Built out augmented reality effects, media co-watching, 50 participant support, invite tracking, joining permissions, ringing, and cross-app calling.

2019 — 2019
Mountain View, CA

Co-founded the Confluence Cloud Ecosystem team, expanding API extensibility to unblock customers migrating from on-premise servers to cloud.

2018 — 2018
San Francisco, CA

Contracted product strategy & UXR. I partnered with Chime's Head of User Research on some foundational studies on consumer banking behavior.
